Bishop Auckland Choral Society
The Choral Society was formed
in 1950 and has continued to provide programmes of music, both classical and
modern ever since.
The Activities of the Society are varied
and in addition to regular concerts at the Town Hall in Bishop Auckland, they
are happy to perform at many local charity events and celebrations.
The sheer joy of singing provides the
motivation for the members, who are brought to a very high performance by the
professionalism of Venera Bojkova, the Musical Director, who is a classically
trained concert pianist and teacher of international repute.
Performances are usually enhanced by the
addition of well known soloists.
New Members are particularly welcome.
The society is supported by Durham County
Council, the Arts Council of England, Making Music, Arriva plc and the County
Durham Community Foundation. |
